Well, Little Bit is starting to say a few more words every now and again. Recently she has been telling everyone Bye or Bye-Bye while she waves them out the door. We have heard "Gate" and "Up" occasionally. Funny story about Mama and Daddy-the other night we were hanging with Auntie A. talking and what-not when Little One jibberjabbered...We swear it sounded just like "Everyone look at me"....it was the funniest thing ever. However, if you are not her parent, it probably sounded like "blahbe da deede." Ha! Regardless, she still speaks her own language even though it is OBVIOUS she knows exactly what we mean when we talk to her.
As she grows she resembles her daddy more and more. Not necessarily looks wise, but personality wise. Everything has its own place and must return to its spot. She knows where the trashcans are in each room and knows that her dirty diaper goes into one of them. She has to try to accomplish her own objective before she goes to the next thing and does NOT like anyone's help...She is a Big Girl and can do it herself! She is the best helper ever and loves to help us around the house.
Let me just say, Little Bit LOVES LOVES LOVES her little brother. She has to say hi to him first every morning (by waving to him)...he receives kisses before Mama...and she has to point/poke every body part and have Mama name them, including the eyeballs. She loves to run check on him when she hears him wake up, then steals his blanket right off of him! haha. Lately she has been wanting to hold him on her lap, so Brother is ever so gently placed on her lap so she can hold him herself. Let me just say, this is a real thrill for her. Once she is done she practically shoves him off her lap. haha! Yes, yes, Mama doesn't ever leave their sides and always catches little Brother.
The past month Little Bit has taken a real interest in books and reading. I might have mentioned this in an earlier post so please forgive me. Generally our reading consists of finding her favorite pages and pointing to the pictures, then slamming the book closed. If we get 2 pages read, it is a major feat! Today is a momentous occasion...Daddy was able to read an entire story ("Miss Spider's Tea Party" by David Kirk) from front to end without her ripping pages, closing the book early, or interrupting at all. In fact, she sat quietly next to him and listened to the entire book. Let me just say, MAJOR event in our household!
Love you all!
